This is a terrible picture but I did want to document that I have made roses out of fondant. I don't know if I will ever make them again because personally I think REAL flowers look best on a fondant cake (and take way less time) but it is good to know that if need be I could make them- you know, in case of emergency:)

What kind of an emergency? I guess they would be great for 72-hour kits since they last for so long. In fact, I dropped my delicate fondant rose several times before it came to its final (& hideous as you well remember) resting place, and it kept its shape perfectly. :) It would add joy and beauty in the midst of a 72 hour emergency, what a great idea!!
